Assalamualaikum and a very good day :)

First and foremost, I am psyched sebab Spain masuk semi finals. Hik hik. Okay it's a good thing, but that's not the reason why I'm writing this right now.

The main reason I'm writing this post is to actually introduce to y'all, something that I personally like and am very fond of and I think it's pretty awesome. My classmate, Sofia Zulfikar and her housemates dah set up a new line (as I would like to call it) with the name "The Azaritas", whereby they sell tudungs and shawls untuk wanita wanita di luar sana. Semua tudung ni is from Egypt ye fyi, memandangkan kami semua pelajar pergigian di bumi Mesir :)

Some of you might ask, why am I fond sangat of their line ni? Banyak je kot online business sekarang ni so what's so special about this? Well, let me tell you. This one is unique in it's own way, because besides selling tudung, they are actually doing it for a cause. Cause apakah yang saya maksudkan?


This is what I meant when I said they were doing it for a cause. Nampak tak tag line "Let's wear it right this time yalla bina!" (btw yalla bina tu maksud dia macam "let's go" or "come on" laa). Actually what they meant by 'wearing it right' is to wear your hijab the right way. The right way tu lagu mana hampa tanya? Pakai tudung dah pakai, dah tu apa yang tak kena lagi? Sebenarnya memakai tudung doesn't mean that you dah menutup aurat dengan sempurna. The right way to wear your hijab is to actually cover your chest. Maksudnya di sini melabuhkan tudung. Tak kisah laa hampa nak pakai tudung lilit ka bawal ka, yang penting kena tutup dada tu sayang sayang sekalian. Saya cakap ni bukan sebarang cakap je, benda ni memang ada dalam Al-Quran pun. Let me quote maksud ayat tu.

"And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed."


(Surah An-Nur, ayat 31)


So my lovely sisters, let us take baby steps dalam mencari redha Allah shall we? Allah dah bagitau dah kat kita, tinggal kita je nak patuh ke tak perintah dia. Kita ni manusia, memang full of sins. I myself pun banyak sangat sins kalau nak kira, but Tuhan itu maha penyayang and peluang untuk berubah ke arah kebaikan tu sentiasa terbuka, cuma kita nak tak nak je. Saya sendiri pun masih belajar, and saya masih banyak buat silap tapi I have to learn laa, in order to gain his blessings kan? Islam tak larang kita untuk indulge ourselves into fashion, cuma kita perlu ikut guidelines yang Allah dah set upon us as Muslims. Melabuhkan tudung menutupi dada and memakai baju yang loose does not make you not cool, ladies. If you pandai bergaya, even when you cover your aurat sebaiknya, you would look uber cool. I bagi contoh laa, Maria Elena. If any of you yang follow dia, mesti korang perasan kan yang dia sekarang dah move towards being a better muslimah. Yet she still looks pretty and I think that she looks super cool. Thumbs up to Marie Elena btw (kita memang suka dia hik hik) :D
