I pondered back on life, I wondered of the things I've wrote over here. Did I write to please others or myself? That was the question.

Wazzapp semua? How's Ramadan treating you so far? Hopefully semuanya tengah berlumba-lumba mengejar Lailatul Qadr since we are now in the last ten days of Ramadan :) Kejap je masa berlalu kan? Pejam celik pejam celik dah nak habis dah bulan puasa huhu. Semoga Allah mempertemukan kita dengan Ramadan seterusnya pulak in sha Allah.

Okay so ekceli itew nak share recipe ni. Dah nak dekat raya ni kan so I decided to bake some kuih raya la, for the first time EVER in ma life hahaha. Okay la second time la sebab I have a vague memory of doing kuih cornflake many years ago. But then that was it. I stopped making kuih because my mom is the type yang tak minat baking and buat biskut but more into cooking. Memang tak dinafikan masakan mak la paling terboik di dunia! Hee. Tapi lepas dah gi belajar kat Egypt, and setakat ni dah survived three years on my own so dah mula la belajar baking. Bila dah duduk dengan kawan kawan yang dok buat benda cenggitu, kita pun tend to do the same la kan. And alhamdulillah setakat ni bila baking tu menjadi la walaupun tak la berpengalaman mana. But minat tu memang ada :)

So, the recipe that I'm gonna share today is chocolate chip cookies, Famous Amos wannabe. Ahakzzz. It's pretty simple ekceli. And in sha Allah sedap hihi. Setakat ni semua yang rasa, even my annoying bros pun cakap sedap. Let me quote abang la eh, "rupa dia tak cantik pun tapi bila makan sedap pulak". So alhamdulillah la kan hihi. Ingat kalau sedap boleh la nak kirim kat FMIL hikzzz. K so let's start!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cawan tepung gandum

2 cawan gula perang

250g butter (equivalent tu satu paket butter yang kecik sikit tu, tengok la berat dia masa beli)

1/2 cawan serbuk koko (I used Hershey's cocoa)

1 biji telur (any grade pun sokay)

1 tsp esen vanilla

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp soda bikarbonat

2 cawan choc chips

Steps:

1. Ayak dulu tepung gandum & serbuk koko. Mix it in a bowl & gaul rata. Lepas tu add baking powder & soda bikarbonat. Put it aside for a while.

2. Then pukul butter & gula perang dalam bekas lain, sampai creamy

3. Lepas dah jadi creamy, masukkan telur & esen vanilla and kacau la dalam 5 minutes more

4. After that kita masukkan mixture tepung tadi sikit sikit dalam bekas yg kita mix butter and gula perang tu. Kacau guna senduk.

5. Masukkan choc chips and mix it clockwise sampai la sebati

6. Pre-heat oven at 170C around 10 minutes, lepas tu boleh la bake for 15-20 minutes

*shape the cookies as you like, nak guna sudu boleh nak gentel ngan tangan and tekan ngan garpu lps tu also can. Ikut creativity memasing :) 

*masa untuk baking tu may vary, kalau size cookies tu small kurangkan masa and temperature

*susun gentelan cookies tu jejauh sikit eh sebab nanti dia akan mengembang

* tak perlu guna mixer, kacau je pakai senduk. Lenguh la sikit haha

* tepung memang kena masuk little by little baru elok

*kalau mix lembik sikit sokay, maksudnya in sha Allah jadi la tu

*kalau tanak bake terus keep it in the fridge dulu, takut choc chips tu cair kalau biar kat luar

Okay rasanya itu sahaja lah, the things you need to do. Recipe ni pun I found it while I was googling. Thank you la akak yang share recipe ni. Dap dap. Selamat mencuba la eh :) Oh and lagu satu nak cakap I used measuring cups yang memang untuk baking tu. Sebab dalam baking ni measurement sangat penting. Kalau salah sikit lain la rasa dia. Dulu I main belasah guna cawan and sudu biasa. Jadi la gak tapi better guna la measuring cup eh.

Hello earthlings! We meet again. Sorry for missing in action. I was too busy with my finals, too occupied with my life that I didn't have the time to write or blab huhu. However, alhamdulillah I am now back in Malaysia yalzzz! I'm so happy to be back home. Lega sangat perasaan bila dah touch down on the grounds of KLIA :') And the moment I saw my mother waiting for me at the airport, I was so delighted. Thank you Allah for giving me the chance, memanjangkan umur diri ini so that I am still able to spend time with my loved ones.

Kalau nak ikutkan banyak sangat benda nak share, pasal how I balik kampung and managed to put up some weight in just about 3 days! *ai keraiii* Tapi yang tu I put on hold dulu laa, if ada kesempatan in sha Allah I will write about it. But the most important thing here is, sekarang ni tengah bulan Ramadan. In fact today dah masuk hari yang ke-13 dah. Alhamdulillah alhamdullillah, Allah mempertemukan kita kembali dengan this holy month :') But truth be told, saya sedikit kecewa lah dengan diri sendiri sebab since balik ni I haven't done anything produtive, except for cooking, or going for tarawikh. Most of the time, I found myself wasting my time doing nothing. Tambah pulak my sleeping pattern dah haywire dah sekarang ni. Walaupun dah almost sebulan balik Malaysia I can't seem to adjust the way I sleep. Tidoq awai ka lambat ka mesti bangun serupa tu gak. Haihzzz. Hanya mampu menggeleng kepala :(

Sekarang ni pun actually I should be sleeping tapi tu la, pi menerewang kat blog pulak ahakz. Mengantuk, tapi dia tamau tidoq. So sekarang ni salah siapa? My eyes, they don't want to rest ke apa entah laa. Tolong lah, Syamimi nak menjalani hidup yang productive ni! Okay okay so la ni kena oaksa diri tidoq gak sat before bangun soqqqqq (haa hampa kena tekan lebih sikit laa aku orang Kedah k haha). K lah letchigo tu selip Samimuuu. Maybe Allah nak suruh zikir banyak banyak kot sepertiga malam ni huhu. Sambil sambil la k. Latih diri tu, biasakan lidah dengan zikrullah, so that nanti akan terbiasa, in sha Allah.

Baikkah, malamz semuazzz! Gudbaizzz! Salam ramadan semua, semoga Allah berkati :)

Assalamualaikum and a very good day earthlings :)

Bukan apa saja je la nak post setelah sekian lama tak post. I kinda feel bad for the fact that in my previous post dah cakap nak sambung kisah cuti Easter hari tu tapi apakan daya, my life is super hectic yunooo. Nak nafas pun tercungap-cungap T_T Hari tu dok sibuk kejar nak siapkan requirements, now tengah study week pulak. Malangnya week itu makin nak habis and I am left with only two days before the finals punya first paper bermula T_______T

Walau bagaimanapun, sekarang ni I'm kinda chirpy sebab kalau yegaiz perasan la kan my url sebelum ni was different but now, it's migorengbasah.blogspot hihihi. For those who didn't know (and I bet most of you didn't) I've had a Blogspot account since I was 16. Zaman tu zaman muda-mudi hidup nak rock and roll jaa miahaha. Perangai loqlaq lagi la back then. And at that time masa first nak buat Blogspot tu memang terus terfikir nak letak url migorengbasah. Mi kat depan tu nak potray my name la kan, Mimi and mi goreng basah tu simply sebab it's a kind of dish, and I love to eat! Haha. Memang blog content tu merapa laa habaq kat hampa. Dok emo segala, gelora jiwa remaja hahahaha, malu kalau ingat balik tsk tsk.

Lepas tu when I came to Egypt, and dah masuk umur 20 tahun jadi rasa macam malu laa sebab my immaturity kat blog tersebut. So I decided to make it private and make another blog, this one laa. I decided to change everything dari cara menulis and all sebab nak bajet nampak matang la kan. Hahaha. And tukar jugak la url to something else. But now I feel like I'm not being the real me, sebab I used to write freely. And I miss that feeling. Actually bila fikir balik kalau you control cara menulis pun tapi kalau memang otak tak matang pun, orang still boleh nampak kan? So takpa laa kan, I leave that for you to judge (tapi hampa jangan dok judging orang sangat naa, tak elokk :p)

Ni zaman up up dulu, main LOMO. Zaman ni memang rajin la post kat migorengbasah hihi

Zaman gomukkk, layak masuk sumo dah pipi tu dulu! Hahaha

As of now, this is your real Mimi writing, bukan Mimi yang bajet matang tu hak hak hak. Dayyum I miss my psychotic-old-self so much tapi mana boleh nak jadi gila sangat macam dulu. Sebab life as a dentistry student itself pun dah cukup menggilakan! *muka yaoming ala 9gag tuu* Miahaha. Ok takpa la naa saya harus pergi menenggelamkan diri seperti submarine ke dalam notes yang terlampau banyak tu :'D huk huk huk. Please doakan saya ye semuaa. Semoga di dalam kesibukan hidup ini harap dapat la jugak nak tulis sepatah dua kata dalam blog ku yang tersayang ini xoxo!

CAK AHHH! SURPRISE! HAHAHA KBYE!

Assalamualaikum :)

Woah dah lama tak masuk blogger, I masuk just to read but not write. It seems like my mojo for writing dah go down the drain. It's not that I don't want to write. I do, but I just don't know what to write about. I am pretty sure that a lot of things, quite interesting stuffs also sometimes to share about but I just can't seem to write about it. Malas ke apa ke I am not so sure myself. My creative side makin deteriorate day by day, and this is so heartbreaking :'(

Firstly, I tak update pun yang I tengah winter break sekarang ni! Dah la macam-macam perkara yang telah terjadi *skemanya ayat* tsk tsk. Winter break yang asalnya dua minggu telah di-extend sampai 3 minggu. Sepatutnya me and a few of my classmates are going to perform umrah this winter break, tapi Allah tak izinkan lagi nampaknya huhu. We are trying to go there from Egypt, so memang la kami wanita-wanita ni takdak mahram yunooo. So embassy Saudi tak izinkan dan telah pun reject permohonan visa umrah kami :'(
Hanya budak lelaki sahaja yang dibenarkan tapi tu pun tak release lagi. So sekarang ni passport kami semua masih di Malaysia, and tak tau la bila nak boleh dapat balik :(

Sebenarnya, I can already predict that it is gonna be tough for us girls untuk boleh pergi buat umrah dengan menggunakan hanya mahram tumpang. Tapi sebab hari tu memang Allah gerakkan hati kecil ini untuk mendaftarkan diri. But at that time dalam hati macam takpe la lepas tak lepas belakang kira, I'm just gonna go ahead and try. No frets, no regrets. Lagipun sebab memang alhamdulillah dah pernah sampai ke tanah suci Mekah dan Madianah when I was 7. But that was a long time ago, so teringin nak pergi lagi and buat umrah. Lagipun masa time tu I was so little I didn't know much. Everything I did, I solely followed my mum without knowing how and why. So I would like to go as an adult yang dah tahu and faham, and nak mendekatkan diri dengan sang Pencipta.


Actually I am thankful for the fact that my mum had this thought of hers, whereby she would take her children to Mecca first before going anywhere else in the world.  Sebab tu la even though I was just 7 at that time, my whole family went there. So kami semua adik-beradik dah pernah merasa melakukan umrah, though the memories are somehow vague to me, sebab I was still quite small kan then. But I really wanna thank my mum and dad for doing so. Lepas tu baru la my parents bawak kitorang berjalan tempat lain. In sha Allah when I have kids of my own, I would want to do the same too :)

However, I feel blessed, and I redha denga ketentuan Allah. He knows best. Ada la sebab kenapa he won't let me go there now. He knows me better than I know myself, so kita terima je la kan. In sha Allah when my time comes, I will be there, again. Maybe with my parents, or might just be with my husband :) Who knows kan? Hihi. He will definitely give me the best, I believe so. Oleh itu wahai sahabat seangkatan yang tak lepas nak pergi kali ni, janganlah rasa bummed out. Akan tiba masanya, percayalah. Memang la sekarang ni yang buat kita semua rasa down sebab kita takde passport so nak pergi tempat lain pun tak boleh. Selagi tak dapat passport nak pergi Sharm-El Sheikh pun tak dapat huhu.

As depressing as it is, we can try to make it sunny side up in sha Allah. Masa ni laa kita nak get in touch with ourselves, in my case la. I've been thinking so. Sebab selama ni hidup kita dah sangat hectic kan, so masa ni laa nak buat benda that we love and we are passionate about. Contohnya, let's say if you love to draw, then try to make art pieces. Hehe kemainnn. If you love to write (like me), then this is the time to do so! Kesian la blog kau Miu Miu empty sangat T_T Fill up that journal of yours, get in touch with your inner self okay gegel. Itulah salah satu mission saya hewhew. And then, this is the time to read, non-ilmiah books. Selama satu sem menghadap buku yang related to dentistry, this is now the time to shove your face reading Jane Austen books that is in your collection (still this applies to me) hihi.

Apart from that, I had been cooking up a storm (like literally, LOL) for I had been spending my time everyday in the kicinnn trying to make food so we can eat sebab cuti memang wojib lapaq. Bukan apa, honestly biaq la che berterus-terang. In sha Allah in 2 or 3 years time, I might already be someone's wife, in sha Allah. Kita hanya merancang Tuhan yang menentukan. So I feel the need to learn and practice, memahirkan diri dengan kerja dapur. Bukan setakat tu, I have to start belajar ilmu agama yunooo. A lot of things running in my mind right now. But now saya menyimpang ye dari tujuan asal post saya ni. Okay so skip this part, in sha Allah when the time comes, more detailed story will be given hihi.

Forget my ramblings, please. Haha. Okay, so the conclusion is we have to make the best of what we have now. Untuk semua yang terjadi, adalah hikmah dia kan. Memang la rasa macam stranded and stuck in Alexandria tapi there is always a reason why Allah bagi jadi macam ni. Kita yang kena try to make the best out of it. Masa lapang ni nikmat sebenarnya, tapi kita tak boleh la salah gunakan. Self reminder jugak tu. So okay laa, panjang gila dah menulis. Orang yang baca pun mesti bosan dah by now. Setakat sini sahaja la post kali ni. I'll end it with reminding us all to selawat ke atas Rasulullah. Always remember him, who loves us so much :')
